Recap - The Amazing Digital Circus Episode 06 - They All Get Guns

While preparing for an awards show, Caine gives the players guns. Competing to be the last one standing, friendships are put to the test.

Caine announces the Favorite Character Awards show, which will air after the next adventure.

Pomni and Jax find Zooble hanging in a flower pot. Annoyed by his planned upcoming in-house adventure and Caine repeatedly singing Daisy Bell outside their door, they have taken to hiding from him. Jax gives away their spot, whereupon Caine declares their latest adventure requires all of them.

Inspired by their performance during the softball game, Caine declares his intent to record the players participating in a number of sports events he devised. Arguing about what they want from his adventures, Zooble demands the ability of have sex, to Jax’s amusement and Caine’s PG-themed horror, causing his head to spin violently before forgetting the conversation (prompting Zooble to ask Ragatha if she has any more Stupid Sauce). Lecturing the players about assuming, Caine introduces them to the NPC Ming, who expresses disappointment about the players' assumptions (Zooble: “You made a whole guy for that?”).

Seeing the tension between the players, Caine devises a trust exercise involving an empty room and a gun: the first player must enter the room with the gun and return without revealing it to be loaded or unloaded, challenging the second player to not shoot themselves or the first player. After having the instructions beamed into his head, Jax promptly shoots Ragatha. Annoyed, Caine supplies the players with a pile of guns and names the last one alive winner. At Zooble’s urging, Caine gives the players five minutes to pair up and three lives.

Gangle defies Jax to pair up with Zooble. Pomni attempts to team with Ragatha, who worries about pairing Jax with Kinger or being paired with him herself. Despite being left to team with Jax, Pomni asserts she can handle him. Meanwhile, Gangle asks Zooble to hold on to her comedy mask and voices her hope to fire a Tommy gun while laughing maniacally.

As the five minutes ends, Caine teleports the guns around the Circus. Ragatha is dismayed to find she has been reduced to two lives. Kinger offers her a butterfly to restore her third life.

Talking with Jax, Pomni admits she doesn’t want to actually kill the rest of the players. Jax admits he sees nothing and no one in the Circus to be real and has no fear of any consequences. Declaring them all to be cartoon characters and archetypes – dubbing himself the funny one, Ragatha the cheerful one, Gangle the sad one, Kinger the crazy one, Zooble the grumpy one – he names Pomni as the only player without one. Encouraged to relax and embrace the cartoon nature of the Circus, Pomni quickly learns to fire her gun accurately and decides to be evil for the day.

While scoping out the Circus, Kinger is sniped by Zooble. Deprived of a life, he returns fire, the resulting gunfight alerting Pomni and Jax. The two separately kill Ragatha, leaving her down to one life as Pomni leaves to fight Kinger. Cornered, Ragatha admits her belief that Jax intends to corrupt Pomni, surprising him. As he prepares to shoot her, Ragatha plugs his gun, causing it to explode and costing Jax a life, leading him to ruthlessly shoot her and sending her to the Loser’s Corner.

Taking shelter, Zooble advises Gangle not to worry about Jax. The two bond over working to handle their shared bodily gimmicks.

Searching for Kinger (now down to one life), Pomni and Jax bond as she considers his discomfort around corn to be a form of trypophobia. Confronting Kinger in a dark hallway, the three engage in a shootout, costing Pomni a life to friendly fire. Kinger attempts a ricochet move, only to kill himself instead.

Finding himself in the Loser’s Corner with a morose Ragatha, Kinger compliments Pomni’s shooting ability. Ragatha admits her fear that her excessive efforts to befriend and encourage everyone have led the players to hate her, citing Jax as an example. Kinger insists giving others space and being around when they need someone are equally important, while reminding her to take care of herself. After gleaning that Ragatha hates herself, Kinger admits he hated and blamed himself for things in the past until she appeared and helped him.

Pomni and Jax corner Zooble and Gangle in a tube. With both parties low on ammo, Gangle finds a Tommy gun and shoots it while laughing manically. Her shooting causes the tube to break apart, dumping them onto the Circus floor. Pomni manages to kill Gangle (who dies happy), while the two chase Zooble to their room.

As Zooble arms themselves, Jax and Pomni sing Daisy Bell outside their door before Jax produces a key to their room. Distracting them with a flash grenade, Zooble opens fire with four machine guns, reducing Pomni and Jax to one life each as they escape. Pomni recovers and chases after them, leaving Jax to uncomfortably notice the doors of Kaufmo and a frog figure’s.

Pomni uses a trick shot to disarm Zooble. Cornered, Zooble defiantly flips her and Jax off as they are gunned down and sent to the Loser’s Corner. Arriving, Zooble is surprised to see Gangle, Ragatha and Kinger dressed like cats. 

Pomni attempts to celebrate with Jax, only for him to push her away. As she attempts a mutual kill, Jax, surprised by his action, refuses to shoot her and tells her to shoot him. With Pomni confused, Jax tells her they never a team or friends. Refusing to accept it, Pomni insinuates that Jax is rejecting her friendship and refused to attend Kaufmo’s funeral out of fear of being emotional. When Pomni asserts his actions could make someone abstract, Jax angrily lashes out, declaring Pomni never knew Kaufmo or watched anyone abstract. Coldly calming down, Jax insists he would have no reaction if Pomni abstracted.

Seeing Pomni apparently turning the gun on herself, Jax attempts to crack a joke about the situation. Pomni instead throws the gun at him before attacking him. Refusing to fight back, Jax insists he is truly a sadist and views the other players as his playthings, before wearily begging her to leave him alone.

The players join together at the Favorite Character Awards. Pomni and Ragatha agree to talk after the show. As Caine begins the show, Jax leaves and has a panic attack in a restroom.

As the awards continue, Caine gives the award for Biggest Sailor Mouth to Zooble (who is now high on Stupid Sauce).

Reaching the final award, Caine announces himself as Favorite Character, before rereading and granting the award to Ming, who chides him for creating an awkward moment.

After the credits, Caine looks at the votes and is shaken to see no one voted for him, causing him to glitch.
