Caine sets the group on a speedrun of suggestion box adventures, resulting in increasing tension among some of the players.
Episode Recap
The players return from an adventure, soaked and exhausted. Pomni remains unresponsive to Ragatha’s attempts to be optimistic, before noticing a figure that quickly hides.
Annoyed by Zooble’s continued criticism of his adventures, Caine brings all the players together to choose from new ones he has recently devised (the shock of which breaks Gangle’s comedy mask). Although the suggestion box is brought up, the players’ inability to agree on an adventure they would like prompts Caine to devise a lightning round. Deciding to go through all the remaining suggestions, Caine grants the players the chance to vote on things throughout the adventures.
The first adventure sees Jax as a hunter targeting the players in the Australian Outback. His first target is Gangle, whom he shoots and mauls her ribbons. Disgusted, Zooble calls for a vote to move on and make Jax vegan. With all the other players in agreement, the next adventure begins.
President Pomni
Another suggestion by Jax casts Pomni as President of the United States, Ragatha and Zooble her bodyguards and Kinger as her chief of staff. With only vague details about her situation, Pomni remains clueless on what to do. Kinger privately explains to her that the other players except her were given briefs (intentionally by Jax).
Jax appears, threatening to detonate a bomb. Leaving Pomni to defuse it, she receives conflicting advice from Kinger and Jax, while also struggling with Ragatha’s assurances. Before she can choose a wire, Gangle breaks in with a bomb vest. Unable to figure out how to be threatening, Gangle crumples as the vest explodes, ending the adventure.
Amazing Digital Circus High
An anime-style adventure by Gangle casts the players as students in a Japanese high school and Kinger as their teacher. Jax is disgusted by it, while Zooble tries to reassure Gangle. As Pomni rejects Jax’s attempt to talk with her, Jax threatens to reveal something private about Gangle, prompting her to end the adventure.
Stargazing
The players camp beneath a starry sky on the Circus grounds. Sitting with Pomni, Jax questions Gangle’s ability to be happy even with Zooble’s help. Pomni asks if Jax has friends in the Circus; Ragatha admits he no longer does, angering him. After she leaves, Jax admits he finds Ragatha’s politeness forced and fake.
An intermission sequence sees Caine subjecting the players to a trippy and wild sequence before Zooble interrupts it. With Caine unable to explain the purpose of the intermission, Bubble begins the next adventure.
Bar
The players are brought to a noir-themed bar managed by Zooble. There, they each share their histories prior to the Circus:
- Zooble worked at a bar and as a tattoo artist, which Jax mocks them over.
- Pomni worked as an accountant for a supermarket, and filmed her exploration of abandoned buildings (a hobby Zooble shares).
- Gangle dropped out of design courses from a community college to work for a fast food restaurant.
- Jax makes up a variety of stories referencing TV shows, to Zooble’s annoyance.
- Unprompted, Ragatha admits she came from a wealthy family and worked in real estate, albeit with an abusive mother. Feeling she has made the moment awkward, she changes the subject, which Jax remains silent over.
The subject turns to Kinger, who Pomni reveals was married. The moment is interrupted by the entrance of an NPC who abruptly disappears, to Pomni’s confusion and Jax’s amusement.
Bored, Caine ends the adventure.
Good Ol' Fashioned Softball
A baseball-themed adventure pits the players as the Big Tops against the Evil Big Tops, consisting of:
- Evil Pomni, a smug and profane version of her namesake
- Evil Ragatha, a similarly smug and sadistic version of Ragatha
- Coach Dictatorer, a confident and angry variant of Kinger
- Evil Jax, a timid and shy copy of Jax
- Evil Orbsman
- Bazooble, a scatterbrained and inept version of Zooble
While Gangle is dismayed over a lack of an evil clone for herself, Ragatha is disturbed by the presence of a centipede in the stands.
Ragatha is the first to bat. While she ignores Evil Ragatha’s attempt to taunt her, Evil Pomni catches her first hit, outing her. As Jax joins Evil Pomni taunting her, Zooble and Gangle call a vote to force him into a maid outfit. Enraged, Jax chases Gangle before Kinger sends him out to bat. Jax’s first hit leads to the ball being eaten by the centipede. Kinger opts to use one of Zooble’s eyes as a replacement ball, which Bazooble plants on their own head.
As Ragatha returns to the dugout and berates herself, Pomni tries to encourage her to let her negative emotions out. Awakened by Zooble, Caine creates a new ball for the game. Returning to bat, Jax strikes himself out. Joining Pomni at the dugout, Jax proceeds to mock Gangle, causing an argument between himself and Ragatha. When Pomni attempts to calm her, Ragatha impulsively lashes out her. Ashamed, she apologizes to Pomni and Jax before walking away.
With Bazooble still in pieces, Caine declares Ragatha another home run and the Big Tops the winner, to her confusion. While Evil Ragatha melts and Evil Pomni complains, Ragatha is dismayed to see Pomni and Jax talking.
With the game over, Jax reverts out of his veganism. Jax goes on to maul Evil Jax, to Kinger's horror and Pomni's amusement, which Ragatha is shaken by.
Returning to the Tent, Caine insists the adventure proves his own adventures are better than the players'. Jax leaves to show Pomni something. Left by herself as the players go their separate directions, Ragatha fails to see an NPC mannequin watching them from a distance.
