The Librarians face collective memory loss to piece together what happened at Lysa’s friend’s bachelorette party.
Episode Recap
At a chateau, Vikram drunkenly stumbles out of a room and watches as Connor, Charlie and Lysa are thrown down a stairwell by an energy blast, before being thrown down himself.
Recovering, the group finds they cannot remember what happened and discover Connor has been impaled in the leg with a chunk of ice. Trying to remember, Lysa explains they were preparing a bachelorette party for her friend, Suki, earlier that day. Unwilling to confront the threat, they decide to work to remember what they can.
Charlie
Told in a noir-themed black and white flashback, Charlie finds Suki rude and dismissive. After overhearing her call someone to urge Lysa into selling the castle, she leaves to confront Lysa, finding Gregor’s Hammer have been invited to perform. Witnessing Suki complaining to her wedding planner, Viola, Charlie tries to reveal Suki’s plans to Connor and Vikram. When they react dismissively, Charlie overhears Suki talking to Lysa and insulting her associates.
When a performance goes wrong over the bartender tripping, Suki lashes out. Charlie catches Suki in a lie about her friends’ absence. Deciding to dig deeper, she pretends to enjoy Suki’s company for the night. Borrowing her phone, she further finds Suki did not invite anyone else and is trying to buy the castle the Annex is housed in. Her suspicions confirmed, Charlie confronts Suki in a photo booth. Suki accuses Charlie, Connor and Vikram of taking Lysa from her. Denouncing her, Charlie slips on an ice cube and knocks over the sculpture.
Connor insists he broke the ice sculpture, and his belief that Suki has a magical artifact.
Connor
Connor tells his flashback as a spy-themed adventure. Finding Gregor’s Hammer booked for the evening, Vikram notes Winslow Lynch’s new glasses. Lysa becomes nervous after meeting Viola, the wedding planner. Connor also observes Lysa behaving unusually friendly with Suki.
After Suki’s freakout over the bartender tripping, Connor shares his suspicions with Vikram. Inspired into believing Suki is being influenced by magic he sneaks into her bedroom before hiding under her bed as she and Lysa enter. Overhearing their conversation, he believes Suki’s ring is a magical artifact. Taking it, Connor leaves to expose Suki, but slips on an ice cube and knocks over the sculpture.
Lysa insists nothing is wrong with Suki, and voices her intent to leave the Library and sell the castle.
Lysa
In Lysa’s rose-themed flashback, she accuses the group of hating the party from the beginning. After she booked Gregor’s Hammer from their gratitude for saving Winslow Lynch’s sister, she tries to convince Suki to accept her friends. After the bartender trips, she tries to keep Suki calm.
Suki later takes Lysa aside privately. Presenting her with a best friends necklace, she talks into agreeing to leave and sell the castle.
Lysa insists Suki is lonely and trying to sell the castle to revitalize her failing real estate career, and further sees doing so as necessary once their time with the Library is up. After furthering insisting she broke the ice sculpture, she notices traces of Suki’s sleeping medicine in Vikram’s drink umbrellas.
Having been denied drinks by Charlie, Connor and Lysa during the evening, Vikram explains the only person to actually grant him one was Viola.
Recognizing Viola as their enemy, Vikram reveals her as an ice vila. Born to feed on self-hatred, she had been manipulating the group to dislike Suki over the evening.
The Real Story
With Vikram engaging in assorted cocktails over the course of the evening, Viola tricks him into insulting Suki before serving him a drink laced with her sleeping medication.
Returning to the dance floor, Charlie and Connor both confront Lysa over Suki’s behavior. When Lysa defends her, Viola plays a video of Charlie confronting Suki in the photo booth. In it, Suki admits she isolated Lysa and kept her from having friends during their childhood. With Lysa offended and Suki shamed, Viola triumphantly takes her true form as an ice vila and shatters the ice sculpture. Encasing Suki in a spell that gradually freezes her, she throws Connor, Lysa and Charlie down to the entrance. Regaining consciousness, Vikram witnesses the scene, before Viola throws him over the balcony, declaring she cannot be stopped.
Their memories restored, the group leaves to confront Viola. There, Viola explains she was imprisoned within the ring Suki bought. Lysa offers herself in Suki’s place, declaring herself ungrateful for Suki’s friendship over the years. Vikram, Charlie, Connor and Suki offer themselves out of respect for each other. Unable to take any of them due to their shared love of each other, Viola shatters and is re-imprisoned in the ring.
The threat resolved, Suki admits she respects Lysa’s friends and gives them the box containing the ring. Cleaning up, Lysa admits being reunited with Suki caused her to lose sight of her current role. Charlie and Connor likewise apologize for forgetting the temporary nature of their mission.
Winslow Lynch revisits for his glasses. Returning to his apartment, he takes the lens from his glasses and replaces it into the scrying glass, which he uses to communicate with General Gregor.
