A visit to a vampire festival leads Connor to race against the clock. Meanwhile, Vikram and Charlie search for Connor and Lysa has a plan to sell the castle.
Episode Recap
As a man carries his groceries home in the dark, he is chased by two vampiric figures. A group of vampire hunters stops them and sends the man on his way. The figures reveal they are simply dressed as vampires and are sent on their way.
In the Annex, Charlie tries to get the group to catalog the artifacts they have found. With their time serving the Library growing short, Lysa makes preparations to sell the castle and offers Charlie a security job. Deciding to take it as an opportunity, Connor convinces Charlie to join him at a vampire festival in Kisiljevo. Through his research, he has determined the city is the home of the first reported vampire, Petar Bagojevich.
After separating from Charlie, Connor notices a man watching him. Following after, he witnesses the man turn to smoke and continues chasing until being startled and falling off a wall.
Charlie returns to the Annex and finds Connor has not returned. Vikram deduces their trip and decides to accompany her back to find him with assorted protection against vampires. Meanwhile, Lysa meats with a real estate agent.
Connor wakes to find himself in the home of Petar, the man he was following. During the course of their discussion, Connor quickly learns that Petar is actually Petar Bagojevich, the first vampire. Despite his excitement, Petar admits he bit Connor to save his life from the fall, and that one of his fangs was removed; without his other fang, he insists Connor will become a vampire come nightfall. Upon learning Petar knows where he left it, Connor resolves to track down the other fang.
Returning to the Kisiljevo keep, Vikram and Charlie are abducted by a group of vampire hunters led by Ivan Van Helsing. Having overheard them talking, they believe Vikram is a vampire and Charlie is his familiar and believe he can circumvent any of his suggestions to prove he is not. While the hunters devise a plan, Charlie questions Vikram’s lack of reaction to the news about her leaving the Library.
Driving in a blacked out car, Petar insists Connor leaves his friends to avoid hurting them if he becomes a vampire, citing his own history. Peter explains he traded his fang with a troll in exchange for passage over a bridge to escape Germans during World War II.
The two encounter the troll, who, in the absence of people crossings, has taken to online trolling. Offering his own (broken phone), Connor trades it for information about the fang, which the troll admits he traded it for years ago.
Returning to the Kisiljevo Keep, Connor finds their authentic vampire’s tooth had been donated to the Library. There, he is reunited with Charlie, who has managed to escape the vampire hunters. Fearing being outed, Connor sends the vampire hunters to distract her while he returns the Annex.
Meanwhile, Lysa struggles to deal with the agent. Upon reaching the cellar, she notices Connor tracking down the fang’s location.
Charlie returns to rescue Vikram and reveals Connor’s strange behavior. The two find Petar, but are caught by the vampire hunters again.
Connor finds his way into the Library, in the process encountering Excalibur and asks it for directions. He is able to find the fang, but sets off an alarm and encounters a suit of armor. Pressed to answer its riddles, he manages to answer two before being stumped by the final, which Lysa answers. Lysa admits she wants to continue working with Connor once their time working with the Library ends, and leaves with him to rescue Vikram and Charlie.
Outside the Keep, the vampire hunters have staged a beheading with Vikram, Charlie and Petar. Having forgotten his cloak, Connor leaves Lysa to distract them. Despite doing so, she gains the hunters’ suspicions. Charlie takes the opportunity to break free, incapacitating the hunters, while Connor gives Petar his fang. Seeing Vikram about to be beheaded, he tackles Ivan, inadvertently exposing himself to the sun.
Unharmed, he turns to Petar, who admits he manipulated Connor into returning his fang. His powers restored, he casts the town into night. Turning his attention to Van Helsing, Connor distracts him, intending to sacrifice himself. Intending to kill him instead, Petar activates a fail-safe in his fang installed by the Library that kills him.
As Charlie treats Connor’s wounds, Lysa admits her intention to postpone selling the castle, seeing it as all of their home. Connor admits he initially bonded with Petar over his fear of the future, now seeing his time left serving the Library to be more important.
While talking with them, Vikram secretly hides an artifact while looking at the painting of Anya.
